La Villa Del Valle Hotel in Ensenada is the vision and creation of Phil and Eileen Gregory. Transplants from LA and beyond, they came to the Valle de Guadalupe a decade ago, dined at the famed Laja Restaurant nearby, and decided to make Baja their home. The ‘villa’ they built is now open for visitors and the small kitchen that once supplied the meals for the hotel is replaced by the stunning Corazón de Tierra restaurant just a few steps through the garden.
The hotel has only 6 rooms, and they each have names, not numbers. We stayed in LULU, the corner suite. The service here has to be mentioned. Some of the best and most attentive service we have experienced anywhere.
Also on the grounds is the Vena Cava winery with its distinctive upside down boat roofs in the distance.
