Boules Restaurant and Bar in San Miguel

A local friend tipped us in on this restaurant that we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own. There’s no signage on the street, and you have to pass a gatekeeper before you enter the parking lot.

We are very glad we stopped here for dinner on a recent trip. It was a nice end to a long fun weekend at the Rancho Agua Caliente. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the view was epic.

We liked this place so much, we made this the dinner plans for after wine tasting on our next trip down. It was equally epic on our return visit! There was a wedding reception in the grass outside overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful sunset that night. It was once again the end to a great night exploring Baja.

Boules is a hidden gem in Ensenada, and we look forward to going back. It has a unique neighboorhood bar with fine dining kind of vibe. No worries though, kids are welcome. I was impressed how they handled the kids and pets that came along with our friends for dinner. The owner is friendly, and will definitely find out your name if he finds you hanging out more than once. And when he does, tell him Tom and Sonya from Native Alien sent ya! ;)
